Teen Vogue Comment

I was motivated by the Teen Vogue article , "Big Shots". So I sent a comment to Teen Vogue:

November 2009 Issue Teen Vogue, Your articled titled, "Big Shots" inspired me to start my own fashion blog. Although my blog is not widely known (yet), it still feels great knowing that I have a say in the fashion world. Your article truly proved that regular people can be anyone's fashion inspiration. Our society is sucked into the idea that being famous automatically makes you a style icon. When the truth is, examining real people's attire could actually be the perfect dosage of inspiration you need to create your own look. My Blog Link: http://adelle-fashionbar.blogspot.com

Classic Rain Boots

Anyone who hasn't heard of the ever-so-stylish Hunter rainboots, there still is hope. Go to the Saks website and order which ever chic color you desire. They make a great birthday present or Christmas gift. Cheaper rainboot? Try Gap, J. Crew, or Kate Spade. The boots have been worn by a range of celebrities from Angelina Jolie to Kate Moss. The most miraculous thing about them is the Hunter trend will never leave! Now let's just pray for a rainy day!

Kitson Fever

Some of my favorite Kitson finds. Want to skim through the online catalogue? (shopkitson.com)

My Style Identity

As a fashion blogger, I am entitled to my own opinion on clothing. So, to give you a good idea on what clothes this blog will be displaying, I will give you a fairly detailed description of my style and views on fashion.

-Sequins are up my alley

-I believe that you can find adorable clothes at Anthropology if you look really hard

-My favorite place to shop would be Los Angeles, but to be specific I would have to add Robertson Boulevard to the mix. The famous Kitson Botique would be my favorite store. (shopkitson.com)

-Intermix is very expensive, but also very trendy.

-I think the store owned by J. Crew, called Madewell, is very good for the basics.

-I hate plain jane cardigans, trends that are overused, and patterns that everyone wears. (For example- Vera Bradley)

-I think Teen Vogue shows bold fashion for young adults, which is one of the many reasons why it's my favorite magazine.

-My favorite designer is possibly Marc Jacobs.

My Boot Scavengar Hunt

Looking for a durable, trendy boot can be a challenge in the state of North Carolina. I strutted with a purpose as I searched far and wide in the mall ready to jump at the chance to buy boots that would help me transition into fall. My mind went blank as I hopped from department store to department store. While walking, the trendy Intermix store invited me in with its chic displays. My heart beated loudly and my eyes bulged out once I saw the perfect boot. It's comfort-ness and simplicity astounded me. I was so entranced by the beauty of it that I forgot to ask for the designer. Here are all the dirty deets about my lovely Fall boots:
They came in black and gray and had tiny gold studs on them. They were suede. I put them on hold and hope to buy them tomorrow! I can't stop thinking about their pleasant aroma and gorgeous micro-studs! The boots kind of look like the Chloe one's above.
